I got these 3 fish from my LFS and they said they were Flowerhorn mixed with something they can't remember. (I am thinking mixed with red devil) They were said to be from the same fry. If so the fish were growing at different rates and were all very different in coloration. They pretty much all were shaped the same. Some looked more orangeish pink like a red devil, and some were all the grayish color with black spots, and some were a combination of the. The ones bearing entirely the gray color with black spots on the sides don't appear to have any pink hues anywhere that typically are on flowerhorns. I got one that appears to look entirely red devil, one thats a combination of the two, and one that is mostly gray. I wanted to see how each fish would turn out. Is it possible that they all came from the same fry, even with the size differences and variation in colors? The red devil looking one is around 2.25 inches I would guess, and the other two are around 1.75 ish (again just a guess). Has anybody encountered this combination before, if so please post pictures! thanks!

Red Devil looking one, the other 2 behind and to the left (not very visible)

The one bearing both Red Devil color and patches of the gray and faint spots on the sides.

The entirely gray one with bolder spots.

Hmm that's weird. The lfs got them from a guy who said they were flower horns mixed with something else. Either way they're cool looking. I'm excited to see them grow. The orange one has really cool eyes.

I am assuming they were the same batch, but the fish were all different sizes so they would be growing at different rates. I picked the biggest ones thinking they would have the strongest genes.
