It's likely impossible to tell really, especially with the malabaricus it seems they are so inconsistent in their patterning in correlation to where they came from. It really is a crap shoot. IDing even Aimaras based on coloring seems to be so so and they seem to have the most distinct patterns based on where they come from.

ETA: It is a good looking Mal though :)

it's a mala. What you are doing is very risky. Those bichirs are going to lose scales and get torn fins most certainly. even my baby red wolof has cause some intensive damage to my bichirs. Malas are very vicious to bottom cohabers. Just a little friendly warning.

Lix:I know it´s a mala,always known that,But i want to know where its captured=).

It depends on how the wolves is raised ha ha.This one has lived with bichirs and other fish all its life without any probs,My former one lived with bichirs to and my former erythrinus to.In my opinion bichirs is the best bet for wolf tankmates .

We have quite many malas in sweden, amost all of them that i know of have tankemates ,and almost all tankemates is bichirs and catfish. The only fight here i´ve heard about is a huge mala who bite a big rtc and got its but kicked later.Mine did bite my CB oscar when it was small and the mala was new in the tank, but the oscar kicked it´s as and chased it around the tank later, took like 2 month fofr the wolf to have the guts to come out and feed from its cave after that. Now iits docile as hell=).

Besides, this one is a pussycat,I have a quite docile but territorial 35cm real fat female jag with it and it keeps the power balance in order=).

But thanks for your concern bro!=)
