I asked my lfs to order me in a channel cat (I have an albino, wanted a "normal" one to with it) and he's still trying to get one in, but he had a customer bring in a black tipped "shark" that had outgrown his tank. It's only about 4" so I thought it looked like a channel and brought it home, figured if it was the black tipped cat it would be fine (I'm thinking that's the columbian cat, and Liz's look awesome, wouldn't mind having one of those either)

So, I can't get very good pics right now, I'll try again tomorrow, maybe he'll come out then, he's in hiding atm, but what do you think it is, he has a few spots, that's why I'm leaning towards the channel, but I don't know if columbians have those as juvies or not.

I know what I'm in for, we're building a "growout" tank just for the channel and paroons :headbang2check out the diy section, we're just about done. He'll have a great home before he even outgrows the little tank, I'm MORE than excited about the big tank build, sorry.

Also, does anyone know growth rate on these, I know about how fast they grow as juvies, but do they slow down drastically at 18" or not? I was hoping they'd wait til about 2 1/2 feet to slow down....
