So my friend wanted to get into the hobby and bought his daughter a 30 gallon tank with this fish and a few others. He is about 6 inches. Showed a pic at the lfs to some iof the workers but not my friend the owner cuz he wasnt there today. They said it could be a flowerhorn hybrid mixed with a red devil. Some said a dovii mix. I looked for some pics and i think its a lioselli cichlid. Just want to make sure as i put a thread up abnout it b4 my friend bought it. H e gave uit to me for free. I have him in a 45 gallon at my fiances house right now. If you know what it is can you tell me about it plz. Max size, aggression, ect...

either i beleive grow fairly big and best kept as a wet pet unless u have a huge tank

loiselli is a definite possibility . . . some sort of parachromis most likely . . . in any case, it would be a fish that will grow way too big for a 30G, these are the kind of fish that need 90G and up . . .

This is either a Parachromis Loiselli or a Parachromis Motaguense. They are rather aggressive and reach to the size of 12" and require a 75-100g minimum.
Why did you buy this fish when you know he will max out your tank size?

i have various size tanks. he will go in a 55 and then to a 125. My other tank sizes include 10's, 20's, and a 300. I think im all set
