So I bought what I was told was a tire track eel the other day. But now I am not so sure. After looking at pictures I am starting to think that its a peacock eel.....

Not a tiretrack or peacock. Definitely a spiny eel though. A lot of different species have been popping up lately I've noticed, there are so many of them out there but only recently did you really see ones besides fire, tiretrack, and peacocks pop up much in the hobby.

No clue until you get an actual ID. A lot of people think all spiny eels get huge, and that's actually not the case. Some stay quite small.
hi i have the exact same eel. 2 of them and have had them both for 6 months now
