ID My New Free Fish

it is definatly a mbuna. off the top of my head i would say that it was the red top fish. i ll have to look it up. i ll get back to u on that.
 
It would be easier if you got a pic of it in the water, with its proper colours. However, it is either a Metriaclima greshakei, or a 'Red Top Zebra' - Metriaclima pyrsonotos. I'm leaning more towards the pyrsonotos, the colour and body shape seems about right.
 
I don't have a free tank right now so she's (I think it's a female cuz she's pretty fat) sitting in a rubbermaid. The other reason why I think it's a she is because she fat and the guy told me that it's been about 4 months that he fed it and the daughter said she fed it a month ago.
 
Well, its clearly been eating something in the tank it was in, a fish that hasn't been fed in at least a month would be emaciated. Its also a male.
 
4 months? I wonder what it was eating? It is a good looking fish, hope you get it a tank and proper id!

If I can I know some poeple who can Id most african cichlids out there
 
...there's a few members already on the board who can ID most africans, myself included ...

Besides, if you ask me, it has been ID'd. Its a M. pyrosontos
