ID my new pleco

Hey y'all. He was listed as a galaxy pleco; L-007. Correct? if so, how much do they usually run?

It could be l-007 but really young.

sorry that's the best I can get for now. He's been hiding under a rock for some time and I dont wanna stress him out. For some reason my cichlids were drawn to him even though he's not even the smallest fish in the tank right now

Could be L007, but need better pics. And L007 that size in MI usually run about $30. I bought a 4" L240 galaxy pleco for $60.

My first pleco was sold to me as a Vampire pleco, L007, was about 4" long and I paid $40 for it. That was 5 years ago. That L007 turned out to be an L240 (which I still own), along with 3 others that I am still trying to breed. From your pics, it could be either fish. You need to get a good shot from above the head, and if possible, a picture of it's mouth. Good luck.

Just look at the dorsal fin. L240s have more of a fan shape dorsal fin. L007s have a more triangle shape dorsal fin. Also L240s have two white tip spines on their caudal fins.

from the head shape and mouth shape, it is more of a L201.

L201. hope you didn't pay too much for it. they usually cost $15-$25
