I bought two Red shoulder/Rotkeil Severums. I'm completely new to severums and wanted to have you guys confirm that these guys are indeed rotkeils. Sorry the pictures aren't the best they are still very shy and hide all the time. Thanks so much!!

The pictures are too blurry to tell. The greenish-brown fish appears to have 9 vertical bars, which would mean it is not a rotkeil/red neck severum. They only have 8 bars. I could be mistaken though, given the quality of the pictures.
The brightly colored fish hiding behind the sponge filter is what's known as a super red severum, which is a line-bred version of a gold severum that shows enhanced red/orange coloration.

I bought them online and spent a decent amount to get them.... They were sold/listed as Heros sp. ‘rotkeil’cb ‘red shoulder/rotkeil severums’ adolescents. .The red spot Severum that is hiding behind the sponge I know the identity. Its the two greenish severums that i just bought. Thanks again

If you bought them from Jeff, they are probably the real deal. I doubt he'd mislabel them. He's seen them enough to know. Sometimes the red color takes a few days to come back after the stress of being shipped/moved.
Yeah they came from Jeff! I couldn't get any better pictures today, Ill keep trying though. Thats good advice on the stress. Ill wait a couple more days and see what happens. They still aren't eating and are still really stressed. Thanks!
