ID my new Stingray pup!

• He was sold as a motoro stingray pup. I looked at it and it had white spots not the typical orange ones that motoro stingrays have. I knew it wasn't a motoro so I bought it. I even ask the guy why are the spots white and not orange? He just said sometimes they are different.
  
  I googled stingray pups and found it look mostly like the p14 stingray pup? or could it be some kind of motoro hybrid maybe Pearl hybrid? Any of you expert stingray keepers know? Store said it was wild caught and he surprisingly ate right away when I fed it cut up shrimp and sole fish.

Nice rays. I agree it doesn't look like a standar motoro

You need to get a guard on your heater and then angle it in the tank to let the hot water rise and not go directly to the stat. Many rays die from heater burns.

Looks like it has p12. You didn't pick that up in a fish store in Chicago by any chance?

My experience is limited but i also dont believe its standard motoro

It looks a lot like my Henlei pups when i got them but i must admit it has a lot of spots so maybe p14 in there too?

I find these hybrids are quite a challenge when you have no idea who the parents are...

I saw a pup like this at a local store looked the same. Motoro hybrid stingray is what it was listed as. I would say yours came from the same supply. Also highly unlikely that it's wild caught. I'm sure it's a captive bred hybrid stingray. Exactly what it is ? Who knows and you probably will never know. Just enjoy it. It is a nice ray and if it's eating all the better. Congrats on a nice find.
