I dont think its a Lithobates, the body shape and the lateral stripes are wrong. I dont know what he is but that racing stripe is bad-a*s. He could be a cross of some sort. If I seen him for 9.99, he would of been snatch up so quickly.

I'm glad you put this thread up. I am haveing the same problem. The fish I have has a yellow streek on its forehead, same colors as yours. people said the same as every thing on this post. good luck. Let it grow up and if it gets huge, then you know its not a peacock.

im pretty sure it's a peacock. ive seen pics just like it in ads for african cichlid sites.
