Id my Pleco please

I got him about a year ago fo $40 and he was labeled as a tiger pleco but thats not very specific. Take a look

I know it's of the Hypancistrus genus ... but which one it's always ify for me never can really tell. Here is my personal guess, it's a variant of the zeb pleco from xingu. SO it could be an L174 or L399/L400 is my guess and not a tiger rather not a king tiger pleco. Sorry couldn't be of much help but I believe your pleco is one of those.

It looks like a L066 to me. Hypancistrus, sp. "King Tiger/Scribble Pleco"

I thought that at first but the L066 is not as spotted where as the L174 is more spotty like the one discusadis has.

I'm pretty sure it's a L400 like mine. Next step is to find it a mate. They will probably be extinct in the wild when the Belo Monte dam is completed.

I'm in agreement with juzbmez. The hypancistrus get tricky to ID. I'd hold onto that one....great deal at $40
