6-7" average. Although there's a 9" one at my one LFS.

Then mine is almost at its peak its roughly 7.5 inches, same size as my male Blackbelt

The record ones are 12" SL = standard length = not counting the caudal fin; so ~15" TL = with the tail. Typical (is typical typically stunted? IDK.) is indeed not more than 8"-10" TL = total length; so 1.5-2x smaller.
