Ya, I was just looking at those on google...looks a lot like his! I'm going with a stinkpot musk turtle also

i bought him as a dwarf if that helps much.
is crossbreeding possible.?
can you tell its gender from the blurry pic if not how can i tell what gender it is ?

No, you can't really tell the gender until it gets bigger. They're pretty fragile at this size so make sure you're keeping it in a shallow tank with warm water around 76-80 F. I have a pair of this species and when I found the male it was the size of your turtle.

Definitely a Sternotherus odoratus. You may have bought it as a dwarf, but there's zero certainty of that being the case. Normally they grow between 3" and 5". My good friend Vicious is right, there's no way to know at that size what gender it is. They're great turtles, I'm sure you'll enjoy him or her.

Probably sold as a "dwarf" because they are such a small species. 4-5" is pretty small compared to many turtle species available in the hobby. I also have one of these guys. They are cool little turtles

it's a musk, no such thing as a dwarf, these guys just stay small.
