It's a box turtle. It will eat lettuce, fruits, vegies, crickets, mealworms, minnows and earth worms. Care is pretty simple since they live in a wide variety of temps just give them lots of substrate (they like to dig) and a good diet and thermal gradient.
 
That's a Florida Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina bauri). Did you catch it? I'd make sure they're legal to keep in your state if I were you.

They mainly have a carnivores diet of insects, worms, small vertebrates and carrion. They also eat berries and in captivity they will also eat grated carrots, squash, zucchini, and cut tomatoes.
 
they are legal to keep here. Unless there is some county or city ordinance banning it in Miami but I doubt that considering that is where many turtle breeding facilities are.
