Hi i bought a fish earlier today marked up as a Green Texas cichlid (Carpintis) (£3.95)

however looking at him closer he looks to have a flower line

That being said Flowerhorns are non existent locally.

The bloke in the shop said that hes a normal texas, but after i challenged it a few times he said he came from a tank that had trimacs and other ca's

So my guess is Texas x Trimac

it was a total impulse buy because of the flowerline, i dont have room for an adult because i want that tank for my Oscar, but my plan was, if he goes red and does turn out to be a flowerhorn then i may keep him instead, if not i will grow him with my Oscar to about 5"ish then sell him for cheap like £5

SO whats your opinions?

photos>>> (sorry for the bad pics, the camera is a fuji 14mpx but its rubbish)

No deffo no Green Terror, Andinoacara (Aequdins) species can only breed with other Andinoacara species also.

Any ideas guys? hes very friendly with my Oscar whos slightly bigger and he has been flirting for food from the second he went in he was eating pellets lol

I'm in love with my Oscar but this guys personality is amazing its going to be a hard choice between the 2, if the hybrid gets red in him that might just tip the scales for me.

mabey flowerhorn x texas or parrot x texas looks similar to some growouts I had a while back
