found this thing under some live rock i was taking to the LFS to sell. I have NO idea what in the world it is, its some kind of worm-ish creature. the narrow end is its mouth/head and it extends. when fully extended it has a ring of what appear to be teeth, they resemble white hairs. the LFS said it was a harmless detrivore. so i threw it in my fuge to watch it for a bit. any info would be great, a name would be even better.

Good--peanut worm. Leave it.

Yep, peanut worm, sipunculan sp. There are around 500 different species. They are detritus feeders.

there is still one more (at least) in the main tank, i saw him last night. and im going to leave that one in the fuge. i think its safe to say u guys are too good.

Bet you have more in the rocks, if you look at the tank at night with a red light you're bound to see them stretching out of the rocks foraging for food.

keep in mind they like to eat poo, not peanuts... don't throw peanuts in the tank.

I have one rock that they have taken over, they are good tank inhabitants.
