ID New Wet Pet

Bought him for $20 at the LFS last night as an Amphilophus Red Isletas, can anyone with more experience with the various Barred Midas species confirm that? He's about 6" right now... Also, the rays on his pectoral fins are slightly bent/curved... will they straighten out as he grows or will they more than likely stay that way? Either way, he has settled in nicely and is glass banging and digging like he owns the tank already.

cant see anything wrong with his spines? get a shot with them up, maybe show him a mirror and he will lift em... and he looks the right shape mate, the eyes look nice and big which is an isletas trate.. usually showing red at that size tho, maybe when he is settled it will come through!-) very nice pick up.
