id of this marine fish plz

Looks like a sweetlips of some sort, if so then that's one big fishy that is semi reef safe. But not really due to its size, most of the commonly kept sweetlips can get almost 2'

Spotted seems right, if so then your looking at a 3' fish with about the same body mass as a small grouper with the same appetite. They're sweet fish just hard to adequately house and feed for life.

My understanding was that sweetlips were not hardy and die within weeks of purchase..but that looks like a robust specimen, has the aquarist had it for long?
