ID on this CAT please..

in one pic it looks like a clarias cat and then other a electric cat..

yeah im a bit confused.. i have clarias back in the days, and it has a larger and broader head..
come on people!!! need some input on this..
thanks

I don't think its either a walking catfish or a electric cat as the dorsal fin doesn't match either. The dorsal fin on the walking catfish is continuous down its back, and the electric cat is much further back.

Looks like a Heteropneustes fossilis or Sting Asian Catfish. Where did you get him? If it is a Heteropneustes fossilis watch out for its spines because they are not called Sting Asian Cats for nothing.

i had this since it was about 3-4" long and on my LFS its just called "black catfish", i asked what is the common name or scientific name for it and no one knows..

I had a Stinging Asian catfish for about 5 years before he died. He was one of the best fish I kept. It looks just like yours. Google Heteropneustes fossilis and you will see it looks very similar to the one you are keeping.
