im thinking a Hoplias malabaricus but his color is really dark...

oh yeah they didn't last long; however, i currently have my lil wolfy at a friends house ( he doesn't get along with my gater gar ) until i can figure something out...I thought about selling him but idk...i've grown attached to em >_>

Looks like a mala to me. Mine used to be kept with a black substrate and his pattern and colors were completely different then they are now.

is there any other specific differences other than color, bc he has always been a dark color, even before i bought him (he was in a whitish/yellowish gravel)
