id...i got them for $30 a each, about 6" big. is it normal for them to be skittish at this size? all they do is hide

my ph is around 7.6, should i lower it. whats the best way to lower it, i have drift wood in right now.

Those are some really nice looking Ocels. That Ph is a little high but I dont think it will kill them. usually under 7.0 is ideal. Avoid using chemicals to lower ph. Youre on the right track with the driftwood. Peat Moss in your filter is also a good way to lower ph but it tends to stain the water a little yellow. The fish love it though.

get the ph to below 7.
remember to keep the temp high.
they will hide alot at first.
let them to get used to you.

what type of peat moss, i seen peat moss for lizard i never used it before so im not really sure, any help
