Mehhhh I don't know about that. I've got some captive born endlis that grew faster than any fish I have. I think that has more to do with what you feed and how often, and in general the care of the fish. I'm sure everyone has a favorite between a CB and a WC fish - CBs are usually a lot cheaper, but their coloration and markings can change over time because they selectively breed for what people want to see in their fish (for example, a Japanese Endlicheri has so many markings on it that their stomachs are as striped as their backs, and good LORD they are beautiful IMO), but your WC are true to nature. Also harder to get to, thus more expensive, though I think that if a fish survives being caught out of a river, shipped over seas, then shipped to your LFS and maybe shipped a third time to you, it'll be a heck of a lot hardier and more resistant than anything else you could get your hands on.
