can i get help with an id. pretty sure he is a scomb just wanna make sure.

got a chance to order this guy through a friend couldnt find a ton of consitant infomaton on him its his 2nd day in a 75g tank seems to be doing fine dosnt want to eat yet but im sure he will come around. hes about 4-5in looks great

currently have him with 2 10 or so inch oscars 7in jd and 14in spotted gar.
bad idea??

So you have a 75g tank with 2 10'' oscars a 7''jd and a 14'' gar. And then you put a red tail in with them. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this new fish will last 3days. If it were me i would find new homes for those other fish. If you end up not liking the TAT then atleast oscars can be bought at walmart.
 
Oh and the 55g with 2 ropes 2 severums 2 sens a fire eel and 2 knife fish is not any better. Basically you just brought your new born home and locked it in a dog pin with a few pit bulls and a doberman pincher. I say if you can not provide a decent home then get this fish to someone that can.
 
it will work in the 55g.
but its too small of a tank.
these fish are claustrophobic and ive had some that wouldnt eat in a small tank.
and btw,just because they eat Ps in the wild,it doesnt mean they can survive in an enclosed area with very aggressive fish.
