ok, i saw both of your threads and here's what i think of both:
you said you caught them out of your lake. i see you're from florida. so they're clearly some kind of midas or midas hybrid.
but why bother identifying them? if they ARE hybrids, then it'd be almost impossible to know unless you know the parent fishes. alot of people come to this forum asking to identify their fishes but it's just futile. the BEST we can do is GUESS. this fish has the shape of the mayan cichlid, and the color of a midas, so my guess would be a mayan cross with a midas.
what IS important however, is that you know it's a cichlid, you know it's got some midas blood in them (but most midas available are infact hybrids of midas and red devils in the FIRST PLACE), so you can pretty much care for them the same way as most central american cichlids.
