This was sold as a Stingray Pleco. It is not a Hillstream loach. From the bottom, it looks like a Pleco. From the top, it looks like a Hillstream loach, or a stingray, because of the fins. From the side, it looks like an algae eater. Sorry for the crappy pics, I can't work a camera, so I have to get one that is idiot proof. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcgKFmK1VDo

More pics, a little better. It is not a Pleco, it is smooth.

Clearer pics please? I can see that this could be Pseudogastromyzon cheni.

ooooh it very well could be! still a hillstream loach but much much better looking. get clearer pics!

There are over hundred species of hillstream loaches. The name "hillstream loach" or "Borneo sucker" alone will not suffice to say. The question is what species exactly is it? Bear in mind that different species of hillstream loaches are found in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, India and Bangladesh.

don't the hillstream loaches NOT have dorsal fins? or are the two moniker the one in the same
