mostly I need confirmation
these guys were sold as "whiptail cats"
the lfs's fish guy checked his guide and it said they were a loracia sp i forget exactly which one.
listed as getting ~4.5" and vegetarian
the smaller one (the one in the pic) is about 2.5-3" the larger one is about an inch longer and is close to or a little larger than the stated max.
He also has bristles on his front fins and face and the smaller one doesn't other than that they look the same.
Do the bristles mean the larger one is male?

i've got one of those guys too! they stay on bottom mostly mine is 6-7" got mine at 2-3" as well really quiet and very sneaky

i bought mine a a "Whiptail catfish" too.
 
They are Plecos, a place nearby my house has them but only a few inches long though.

yeah. we call the ones that look identical to that royal farlowellas.
