I'm not 100% sure, but looks like a Kenyi (Pseudotropheus lombardoi). African cichlid for sure... so it should be in the other forum.

Thanks for the ID. There are two of these blue ones in the store, but now I see the males are orangey. I'll see if I can spot a pair to buy. I was torn between these and Venustus, but I'm quite taken by their little characters.

species only would rock. Males and females are blue until the mature... so look for one turning. A few females to males works best not a pairing fish..
Yes, female kenyi, males turn yellow. Males can be very nasty so be sure to get several females (4 to 6) and provide TONS of rockwork. Dont be suprised if you end up losing some females as it is so common with the super aggressive mbuna.
Kay, this is the only similar sized orange/yellow fish I could spot in the tank, is this a male of the same species? If this is, I'll be buying the only 2 blue females and one of these "males"...

Nah that's a red zebra (m. estherae), male kenyi's begin to turn yellow when they are larger at around 2.5"-3".
Paul ask your lfs if they'll except fish back from you (either for a trade-in or store credit), then get a bunch of kenyi juvies and grow them out and take back the extra males. Or I guess you could vent them, but not sure if it's possible at that size.
