caught this lil guy netting. It came from the passaic river in NJ if that helps at all, some kind of catfish but dont know what, anyone know? not the best pic but here it is.

he is awesome little cat..looking forward to finding out his ID too..
 
i think he might be a blue cat. but im not shure.
NJ is a great place for netting.
i saw an about 4" pike or something big when i was on the way home with this guy swimming into a drainage pipe! it seems like a horrible place for fish but i have gotten lots of stuff from there, gunna go back tonight to see if i can get him!

It's either a brown or black bullhead, are the barbels under the chin black?

Yes but what species of bullhead, it's either a black or brown. I would say almost certinly black but I've been fooled before by very dark brown bullheads. Oh yeah, white bullheads have a forked tail.
