i was in at my LFS today picking up some media and whatnot, and i came across an employee just about to let some rays into one of there tanks.
i sat there and watched and after a bit it occured to me to get my phone out and take a pic or 2,
i cant really tell what they are, they were listed as 'common rays' almost a motoro type patern but not quite. i asked where they got them from and apparently they are from one of there supliers in peru, and other than that the guy didnt know much about them. they look a bit skinny to me, but im sure they had a long flight. heh. anyways heres the pics. (sorry about picture quality, just the camera on my phone)

anyone know if the markings normally stay on them ? or when they grow will the markings increase/fade ?
could be lack of markings right now cause of stress ? the were put in to the tank not 20 mins before this picture was taken.

i know some plecs i have brought home took a day of so to get there markings back after travel stress, would this be the same with rays? or no ?

markings on my male got better with age and size.
But when he was smaller I had him on natural gravel and you could see the pattern well, then moved him to a tank with black sand and he darkened up and the patern seemed to have faded away, Now at 14'', he is back on a lighter sand and he lightened up and his pattern is poping (only been on it 2 months).
