ID Please?

Hi Guys, I know not technically a chichlid but i fure a few people on here will be able to Id for me?
I got this from s store labeled as Synodontis multipunctatus? they are both only about 1 1/2 inc at the moment.

i agree with the label . multipunctatus. i wish i could find a large not exteremyl expensive one here.

I have a group of Synodontis multipunctatus and they look a little different. Mine have a two black stripes on the tail and the dorsal fin is black. Like these...

They look Synodontis but I don't think their multipunctatus.

yeah i agree with you notoriousway, the pics ive looked at multi's dont have any spots on the fins, i though maybe being juvies they might change?

if not does any one have an idea what they might be?

Mine are only 2" right now and look just like the ones on the website. Sorry I wish I knew what these were.

Yeah, definately not multipunctatus. These are the two I had

Main problem is these days there are a lot of hybrid synos out there. One of my local LFS's has one tank labelled "multipunctatus", and the next tank labelled "mulitpunctatus hybrids". Not all LFS's are quite as honest or know what they have got.

Not multipunks ... those are hybrids.
