can you help me ID this fish

i think it's a congo tetra, got picture from a thread with no mention of the name and i forgot to bookmark the thread so pls help.
Also what conditions are needed for these little fella's?

It is definitely a congo tetra. From my experience they are very hardy and adapt to a variety of water conditions.

They are a larger tetra (males around 3.5", females around 3") and obviously schooling fish so 6 would be the least amount really recommended. They also obviously like tropical temps and are more mid to top water species.

Gorgeous congo tetras!!! They look incredible in planted tanks. One of my favorite tetras ever.

Like its already been said, congo tetra come from africa; really nice rather mellow fish do well in rather peaceful community setups and do mix ok with mellower cichlids

Are there any similar looking tetras or tetra that will brighten up and make a tank more colourfull around the same size as neon tetras

glo-light tetras, not to be confused with glo-light danios... neon sized w/ that pearlescent flash. look pretty drab at the lfs.. but wow when they settle in. very congoesque coloration.
