im not big into africans but i my girlfriend seen him and had to have him so now i have one lol, can anyone help me id him tho?

It looks like an Aulonocara, but I don't know which species. I have not seen any peacocks with this coloring. It may be a hybrid, as most peacocks sold in chain stores are.

i agree it is some kind of peacock (note the arrow shape of the fish which is very distinct in peacocks)

looks to be a hybrid to me.
part electric yellow, part blue metriaclima zebra. not saying 100% its a hybrid, but in the hundreds ive seen, the only ones that come close to the one you have are electric yellow hybrids.
 
he has been developing more of a blue sheen (like wats on his fins) all over his body, hes turning into quite a good lookin fish
 
get more pics when he's bigger I think he's too small to possitively ID and the color looks pearly white/ metallic blue to me, it's interesting~
