my cuzin send me a pix of his piranha but he dosent know what type is it he said that the guy that sold it to him said it was a dimond i don't know much so i cant help him but you guys can .. thank you ill post pix.

some better pics would be nice, but i see some things that would point me towards s. compressus
 
im leaning toward compressus see stretch spots in few of the pics
 
what size is the fish? 100% not a geryi. It's either a juvie rhom, or an S. compressus. There are no red eyes. That says S. compressus to me, but if it's an immature fish it could be a rhom. The spotting on S. compressus, atleast the one I had, morphs from dots, to stretch spots, to tiger stripes/bars.
 
I'm leaning towards compressus as well but can't see the spots well enough to be sure. better picture would help
 
yeah im going to tell my cuzin to send me more .. wow their so many names intresting .. im hoping that my cuzin wuld keep this one he always buys and sell .
