i bought these fish under the trade name of surinamensis but im pretty sure they're altifrons

^ at the size they are currently at I agree with David. Mid-lateral spot is large with bisect leteral barring. Put some size on them to be sure.

If they are Abalios how would i go about sexing them? I have three bigger ones and out of those i think two are males and one female if not a whole different kind of geo.
