So if found these little white worm looking guys in my tank. they are four to five mm in length, with a little triangle for a head. would've posted pics, but they don't show up well on the camera. any ideas?
Yup, sounds like planaria. They're harmless to adult fishes but they do eat fish eggs. Personally I think they're very hard to get rid of. I had them in my tank once and tried every brutal way I could think of to kill them. I first removed everything in the tank and poured boiled water in my tank, then I removed the water and filled the tank completely with vinegar. I left the vinegar in the tank for two days before putting my fish back in. A week later those little devils are crawling on my tank wall again
Actually somewhat normal and healthy. They are planaria. In Biology we cut on in half long ways and it made two. I used to have them in my tank. Just keep doing water changes and keep up on ur maintenance and eventually will just disappear. They really only like to live in the sand or gravel and will eat detritus.
