leeman, yours is a green sunfish. the bluegill in question is just that, a bluegill
Agreed it looks to be a female bluegill. Most seem to be copper colored with dark vertical bands.

I stocked the bluegills around a decade ago in my farm pond. I have never 100_0168.JPGput green sunfish in my pond.

All like 1 million of these fish in my pond started as around a dozen small bluegills. They have spawned over and over, but I d100_0167.JPGo not see how that they were able to morph into green sunfish in a decade in my pond. They were caught from Liberty Resevoir.

Is this also a green sunfish?

lol, saw that coming from that picture with the dovii in the background. and maybe you never stocked bluegills in the first place. maybe they were green sunfish from the start because what you have in your pictures is a green sunfish. the OP has a bluegill.
