Any idea what the hell this is! It has a mouth full of teeth came into the shop in a bag with a snakehead in, and held its own.

based on coloring i'd say its a polleni, but the P. bleekri(large spot) and P. polleni(small spot) are very similar. in fact, it's hard to get a pure bleekri cause of all of the cross breeding between the two.

and this one looks very tattered and in bad shape. but they are very hardy fish, and can handle quite a wide variety of water conditions. i say you send him down to me.

I just remembered that they got reclassified and polleni is no longer a valid species.
They are now P. bleekeri (sp. small spot) and P. bleekeri (sp. large spot). They might undergo reclassification again though.
