ID please

Hello everyone
i have bough a centra american cichlid few weeks back i have 3 questions related to my and fish that are :
1- ID of my fish species?
2-Male or female ?
3-i feed him/her hikari biogold plus cichlid pellets problem is he/she is kind of scared to come up to the surface of water for feed,what he/she does is observes the pellets for sometime then deliberately comes up to the surface and only takes one pellet at a time and quickly goes down again and so on..what should i do ? initially he/she didnt eat at all.. Its not MiDevil, its your MiDevil, lol

Sorry that was dumb....if its super small then maybe its a Chromide, Sorry that was dumb too.:confused:
 
Its most likely a miDevil, that is a Devil/Midas cross. There is really no way to visually tell the sex, you will have to vent it. (Google venting tropical fish) As for eating, that is normal. Is the fish and tank in an area where there is a lot of activity? Moving around etc.... Or is it in a room where it gets no action?

Thank you,sure will do that..the tank is an area where indeed there is alot of activity..it is placed close to the door way..
