I picked this little guy up today just want to know what kind it is and max size.

Looks like some kind of madtom. If that's the case, it'll stay way under 6".

Probably a tadpole madtom.

Gets 3-5".

But not all madtoms stay way under 6 inches. My checkered was over 7" TL.

It depends on what type of madtom it is, the biggest stonecats get 12 inches long. Where did you get your madtom?
