So i saw this fish with no price and there was a price for some other fish for $15 and so the lady at the lfs didn't know what it was. I asked her isn't that fish $15 and she was like yea i guess so, me knowing its a pretty damn good price for this fish. So she bagged it up and gave it to me for $15 can you y'all please help me Id this fish i sorta have a clue but not really sure of the name

I could be wrong but it looks like a dorado. A famous South American sport fish. They are usually pretty expensive though.

how much do they normally go for at 7-8"?

Clearly, they get bigger than 7-8"....but I can't find any information about their actual size. Brycon species can get more than 18"
