Pretty sure this is your normal Red-tail Catfish...but it does not have a redtail and idk it just doesn't seem like your typical one. maybe it is but i'd like some confirmation :)

SA RTC. With the right diet, the tail turn more or less a shade of red later on.
 
Yes a normal rtc. although the one someone posted a pic of is not a normal one lol. That one is a dinosaur that has been around for many decades to get that large. Let's hope you can match it with this lil bad boy!!!!
 
Great collection of champion RTCs! Are any pics yours? The one you took off of the Fishing World Records is still significanty bigger than any others. As Necrocanis put it - it is either 100 years old or a genetic freak, like an 8' human.
