Bob thats a tuf one. Especially since your in singapore. Who knows what was in the waterways or ponds that produced that bass....? Hard to believe wc anything bass these days. Unless you have a very reliable vendor....cause most will try n pull a fast one on you.

Only one way to find out. BUy it and grow it out.

What's the size ?
There is no shade of yellow at all. Quite confusing

I see these in my local petstore in california and they label it as wild caught peacock bass who knows what kind or what species it could be though

That's my WC Kel, if that helps at all. Looks to be similar in size, perhaps a bit bigger than yours.
To be fair, mine's in a planted tank, and has been for a while, so stress might not help yours to show true colors.
