Can anyone ID this for me, it was sold to me as Cichlasoma cyanoguttatum
but I don't know.

Viejas ARE Paratheraps...them annoying ichteologists decided to change the name on us...lol...so now Viejas are Paratheraps.....*grumbles*. It looks a lot like Paratheraps hartwegi.....

Okay, betweenn fishbase and a russian site and 2 german sites I tracked down your young girl (I think), First called Heros guttalata, then called Chichlasoma guttulatum (and occasionally mislabelled asunder the old name of C. cyanoguttatum which is now H. cyanoguttatum, the Rio Grande cichlid), then renamed again to the current name

Vieja guttulata,

which apparently has no common name. this is a male (if I read the german right)
Now I"m tired.
