Hello everybody. I need you help IDing this P. Was actually given yo me by a friend and he said it is a Maculatus. I know he is a bit skinny. He was without a heater but he seems settled in nicely and managed to eat some today.

I love the purpleish hue this guy has. What are Macs personalities like? He is quite uneasy now but hopefully he gets bolder as he gets used to his tank

Personalities will be different with every individual. I've had macs that were skiddish, and ones that were very aggressive (to the point where they would ram the tank when I walked by).

I'm sure yours will come out of his shell once he gets use to his surroundings. As soon as they become comfortable with your presence, and understand your no real threat, he'll start becoming more active. Especially once he correlates your presence in front of the tank with when he gets fed.
