Had this a few months. Sold as a Bleekeri to a friend, was unsuitable for his tank. Doing very well in my 265 community. Is it a Bleek?

Its a Paratilapia sp.
But not a bleekeri because bleekeri is not valid anymore and just a synonym for P. polleni.

Looks great suprd, I have no idea what you mean about not staying still for pics. Do you know the sex, it looks male to me.

It could be Paratilapia species Andapa, here s a shot of one to compare

but because Paratilapia are all very similar, it is very hard to know for sure without a Madagascan ancestry location point

Thx Duane.. how about that notch/interruption in the dorsal mine has? Is that a physical trait of any particular species that you are aware of?
