Picked up this little guy about 3 weeks ago. LFS had 2 and they were both solid black. They still had the 2nd one there yesterday I may go back and pick him up too.

That's a good looking little three bar indo dat...Great that it's stabled up for you.If by some slim chance that other dat has such a nice pattern go back and get it!
Thanks for the ID. No way to know for sure about the other one. He was solid black, no visible pattern at all. Since it's an IT and not an AT I might go get him anyway.
How much were they? If they were not too expensive it could be worth taking the chance on the other one and sometimes when the store person is trying to net the fish they lighten up a little and reveal their stripe pattern.I have even had the attendant catch a dat and place it in a container for a few minutes so I could see it's bars as it changes colors.
