Agree Guianacara, although telling species apart can be difficult as they are quite chameleon like.

Are they easy to spawn?

Mine first spawned at barely 3", the eggs are green.
In the shot below they were placed on a piece of water logged wood, and blend so well, they are nearly invisible.
