



I would not say popular. Occasionally there would be hybrids in shipments that are brought to shops. However, there are not sold as hybrids, making it very difficult for buyers to identify the fishIt appears to be of the Herichthys carpintus clade, but the extra dark areas are confusing, unless it is simply in stressed out just added to the tank colors.
A better shot would help. The dark areas could indicate a hybrid.
Are hybrids popular in the Maldives?
