ID please!

hi i have had this cichlid about 2 years and had a pair up untill last weekend when one of them died (male or female dont know).

when i bought them they where wild caught and only had their latin name and i can no longer remember it and now i want to try and find a new mate for it so can any one help me find out what it is and if possible what sex it is, if it helps the other one i had was a bit bigger and plumper with darker colouring.

also in the picture the yellowish lines under the eyes are actually green the pic does'nt do it justice.

Looks a lot like a l. curviceps, and a. latifrons, and l. thayeri. Try to get a profile. At least I narrowed down to three

yes i think the shapes marry up with a curviceps but the colouration...unless it wasnt happy in the pic?
