Its young, and hard to tell from the pic, but if you got it from an LFS, and didn't pay top dollar for it, cheap kind. Doesn't mean it won't be good looking however, the hybrid section of this forum may have a few more answers for you.

To young to tell but it can be a nice fish esp. if its a male and fed right.
BTW, nice looking tank!

yes, my ph is 7,8 something around there, well lfs he didnt know whts is it, i knew its flowerhorn , thts why i pick him up, times will show how beautifull he will get,

I have bought a couple fh's from lfs and are good looking fish. The fish in your pic looks to be a zz. You can usually tell if they have potential at 2". If you want a true quality flowerhorn pay the extra $$ and get one from Thailand. And make sure you stop into the hybrid forum, you will learn all you need to know about fh's!

a flowerhorn. maybe if you can give him like a solo tank you'll see the potentials in a month...also there are foods especially for flowerhorns to make them like humpy head and nice coloration.
